Sydney Gould was born in Montreal Canada. At seven years of age, his family immigrated to Brooklyn, New York where he was raised and received his education. Following service in the United States Army, Sydney attended a New York University where he received his BS and MA degrees, majoring in Administration and Supervision.

His professional career spanned three decades as school principal, assistant principal, teacher and guidance counselor within District 20, Brooklyn, New York where many of his articles were published.

Following retirement from New York City Board of Education, he and his family relocated to New Mexico. He was later recruited to serve as consultant with the New Mexico State Department of Special Education in Sante Fe. Sydney now resides in Scottsdale Arizona.
